Scholarship Application

“Promising ITR Professional Scholarship”

This scholarship was established to encourage and support students of interpretation and translation (ITR) as they build their knowledge and skills to become industry professionals.
It will be awarded to one recipient

One $300 award, paid registration to IITA’s 2018 annual conference, and free membership for 2018 and 2019. Scholarship winner will be asked to supply a short paragraph, reporting on the conference or a session they attended within 1 week after the conference.

Applicants must be students currently enrolled in an Interpretation and Translation (ITR) degree or certificate program offered by an accredited college or university in Iowa.

Applications will be numbered, de-identified, and distributed to the IITA Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee will consist of members of IITA’s Board of Directors. All selections are final.  

The scholarship winner will be announced on June 4, 2018, and the award will be presented at IITA’s Annual Conference on June 16, 2018.

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by June 1, 2018.
