IITA Privacy Policy

The Iowa Interpreters and Translators Association (IITA) respects the privacy of its members and other visitors to its website. IITA strongly believes that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, IITA has implemented the following policy.

Gathering and Use of Information

Most data IITA collects are used only to help IITA better serve its members. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our members and visitors knowingly provide. Such personally identifiable information may include your name, company name, email address, etc. (collectively referred to herein as “Personal Information”). We do not sell, transfer, or disclose any Personal Information we gather on our website to any third parties without your prior consent, except in cases when we believe in good faith that we have a legal obligation to disclose such Personal Information.

Credit Card Account Information

IITA does not disclose credit card account information provided by its members and customers. When members and customers choose to pay using their credit cards, IITA submits the information needed to the appropriate clearinghouse through secure sites to conduct the transactions.

Privacy Issues and Links to Other Sites

This website contains links to other websites.  IITA has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies or content of such sites.
